I can't speak for anyone save myself, but in my experience, there is always a period of time in my recovery where I feel like I am going backwards or simply standing still, but as long as I don't drink and go to meetings, it ends and I later find out that there was something BIG going on internally; sometimes it takes going back some before we can move forward.
